7 reasons to get yourself to 3D Basecamp 2018

You’ve probably heard the news by now: 3D Basecamp 2018 is coming to Palm Springs, California! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, 3D Basecamp is where people who love SketchUp go to meet, learn, inspire, and have fun. Really, we can’t think of a better way to spend a week. In fact, we’ve come up with seven excellent reasons why we think you’ll agree.

SketchUp skills to 11

Want to take your SketchUp skills to 11? 3D Basecamp is your answer.

Master the fundamentals.

Whether you just downloaded SketchUp yesterday, or you're guilty of breezing past the basics to get going on your project, 3D Basecamp is hands-down the best way/place/time to learn SketchUp. You’ll get a grip on SketchUp in no time with the two-day beginner track, or you can build your own schedule with a mixture of workshops and conference presentations. Whichever route you take, we know you’ll be showing off those orbiting powers by the end of the week.

Become a SketchUp wizard.

Already think you know everything there is to know about SketchUp? We’re impressed, but we think our lineup of seasoned professionals might be able to show you a thing or two. Dabble in extensions, explore new workflows, or ask that one question that no one ever seems to be able to answer. We promise: you won’t leave Basecamp without learning at least one new thing (but probably lots of new things).

3D Basecamp

3D Basecamp isn’t just the best place to learn SketchUp; it’s also a pretty darn good time.

Get connected.

If you want to grow your professional network, or just meet your forum bestie IRL, you won’t find a better setting than 3D Basecamp. We’re expecting this to be our biggest Basecamp yet (with more than 1,000 of your closest SketchUp friends!) With all we’ve got planned, we suggest you get those business cards ready.

Train your entire team.

If you’re using SketchUp as part of a professional workflow, 3D Basecamp is definitely for you. Bring your team to the first two days of Basecamp and get hands-on team training at the lowest price you’ll find all year. Or come for the second half of the week to learn and explore how other professionals use SketchUp in their workflows. Our suggestion: stay all week and do it all.

Location, location, location.

Ahh, Palm Springs. Sunshine, poolside, and palm trees. If a little bit of R&R is on your agenda, you’re in luck. The hotel includes two golf courses, a wellness spa, on-site dining, tennis courts, and a waterway that you can actually traverse by gondola (bonus points if you can model and paddle at the same time).

Fun is in our DNA.

We can’t help it; we love having a good time. And we can pretty much promise that if you like having fun, you’ll fit right in. We know you’re here to learn, but the speakers and workshop leaders are guaranteed to give you a laugh or two along the way. But the fun doesn’t end there. Think scavenger hunts, pool deck parties, live music, and happy hours. And did we mention the legendary Basecamp SWAG bag?

We’re people people.

There’s really one thing at the root of what makes 3D Basecamp (and SketchUp!) special: the people. In our experience, Basecampers are what make this the best SketchUp week of the year. With attendees from all around the world in one place, you’re bound to find your tribe. Let’s put it this way: a notch to your SketchUp toolbelt is only a part of what you’ll take home.
