Lumos Solar: Making solar power beautiful using SketchUp

Our friends at Lumos Solar harvest the sunshine with their award-winning solar panels to deliver clean, sustainable energy to customers. Lumos challenges the perception of solar panels as an eyesore by producing frameless panels that are aesthetically pleasing and flexible enough to integrate with building architecture.

We sat down with Lumos VP of Operations Chris Klinga to understand how Lumos uses SketchUp and 3D Warehouse to deliver building projects that integrate their solar panels. It was great to learn how SketchUp helps Lumos communicate with architects, builders, and owners -- throughout product design, marketing, site analysis, and project delivery, Lumos leverages SketchUp to deliver solar products that work in harmony with building architecture.
